Cursive is one of the third grade highlights that children are the most excited about as school begins. Children learn the cursive alphabet in order of the type of stroke, which does not follow alphabetical order. The first word that we can write in cursive is the word "it'! Does your "it" have eight eyes or just the usual two? Is it huggable and lovable or scary? What does your "it" look like in your imagination? Check out these cute examples of the friendly "its" from our classroom!
