We began the comprehension strategy of identifying main idea and supporting details this week with a Time for Kids selection on urban sprawl and wild life. Next week in our story, Penguin Chick by Betty Tatham, the boys and girls will continue to practice identifying the main idea and supporting details about various aspects of the penguin's life. Did you know that not all penguins live in Antarctica? Ask your child where else in the world you could find these adorable animals -- you may be surprised!
